Car Wash Clubs. Anyone else join one?

There is a great car wash between my office and work which I drive by everyday. They offer a flat $24.95 a month membership for unlimited car washes verses the $11.95 per wash so I decided to give it a try. I joined a few months ago and it's been great with me usually swinging by on my way home from work about once a week. Love a clean truck and since mine is black, it looks best clean.

Anyone else belong to a wash club? Do they have such a thing in Europe or other countries?

I've never heard of such a thing but I'll check it out in my area.
I like my truck kept clean.

Washes for me only run $6 each time so the $24.95/mo doesn't work as I can't always go once a week.

Interesting concept. I sometimes use a touchfree wash, but generally wash it myself by hand if not in a rush.

Haven't seen a club, just "x" number of washes at a flat discounted rate. Wish they had a club around me.

I have belonged to one for years. Here where I live it's $49 per month, unlimited washes versus $16 on a per wash basis. I like to keep my daily driver was clean as my other cars.

Around here they offer books that you can purchase. It lets you purchase five-ten washes at a discounted price. The one I use has a clean car guarantee. Depending on which wash you purchase, it allows you to go back for free for any reason for 1-4 days

I hand wash my MB (summer car) but living in the Midwest, we get 4-5 months of slush, snow, snirt so it's nice to be able to wash my Escalade as often as I want. In the winter I go more often. It's a nice wash... They have two kids with brushes Pre spray, use a brush on the front, back and tires when you pull in (you stay in vehicle) then there are two more who hand dry after. If you want, there are vacuumed bays with interior spray/towels included. Pretty sweet set up.

Yeah if you live in Scottsdale but if you try that in August the water will evaporate faster than you can wash the soap off..

I take mine to a do-it-yourself nearly every week. Tuesdays are $.75 per shot, one shot of soapy, then I bring my own soapy water and bucket/mitt because I don't trust where those brushes last were, hand wash it, then two rinses, then a couple towels. 20-30 mins. I also have a pressure-bottle of Salt-X solution I spray the undercarriage with afterwards.

I wish I had one of those nearby it would be a no-brainer for me. Although, I usually do it by hand and enjoy. Sometimes there's just not enough time...

I think that its ok since you mentioned it was for your truck, given your Avatar let me share some "experiences" I had with a carwash.
there are a couple places where I live which offer a monthly plan, but after my experience NEVER AGAIN! Just b careful.

Yeah, I only bring the truck, not my AMG... not that I would be happy if I damaged the rims on it but I wouldn't have the same heartache if something bad happened verses the MB..

Ouch to your rims!

I wish there was something like that in my neck of the woods. I like washing my car by hand but when I'm busy at work I simply don't have the time to do it.

There is a young entrepreneur in my neighborhood who started a mobile carwash business and does an unbelievable job inside and out. You call him up to set up a time and leave your car in the driveway and he'll come by and wash it for you. He does a professional level job.

No club here; I end up going to a drive through wash once a month. Not the same as hand wash and wax but better than nothing.

Kanger, I see you are in Chapel Hill. Nice handwash in Raleigh on Old Wake Forest Rd. Gentle Touch Hand Wash. 15 for cars and 17 for suv's. My brother goes there all the time.

Never heard of an unlimited for that price. that is a great deal!

Wow, I never realized that washing a car in the US was so expensive...

Where I live, (Lima, Peru) a standard hand wash is 5 soles (around $1.87)...

Unfortunately that industry has been growing a great deal in the past years with a "strategic alliance" with some terrorists hidden in the Amazon Rain Forest.

Labor in Peru is cheap (not as China or India), craftmanship is very good also.

Prices of cars, are a higher than in the US for example.

The E92 M3 cost around $125k when it was still in production, same goes to Rolex. There is only ONE AD in Peru, that AD has 3 stores, all of them in Lima, in radius of 20 miles at the most....

I'm guessing that has something to do with the cost of living by comparison... My kid wouldn't make their bed for $1.87 much less wash a car! Costs me $5 a week each just for an allowance!
