I'm hoping for a a full supertrap system or thunderheaders, right now it is just a nightstick slip on and black heat shields over the stock header pipe. I think the cat is stealing a bunch of power, it is 113tq and 88hp, with a header pipe I think I can push like 115tq and close to 100hp.

Looks great I prefer Supertrapp over Thunderheader It has a better sound IMO. The Thunderheader is too obnixous

I had a thunder header on my 2004 EFI Fatboy, serious seat of the pants difference for sure the increase in pulling power and sound was amazing
Also had a Ness Big Sucker and race tuner in it |

Looks great Matt! Sounds like you've got your setup worked out...are you using a PC3 or PC-V?
I've got a '11 Street Glide and am ready to pull the trigger on some V&H pipes and a FuelMoto Header and PCV. Not looking for all kinds of power, whatever I get, I get. Just want to clean up the sound and give it a little more punch. I hate EPA crap on bikes...my buddy has a Ducati Multistrada and we just replaced his midpipe/cat/muffler think with a header and that alone made a huge difference in engine response and snap...not that it needed much help! Ride safe, keep it shiny side up, bud. |

Honestly, I thought thought that the Thunderheader pipes were quieter than other pipes, but then again I previously had drag pipes on mine. I thought that performance output was better with a quieter sounding pipe, but then again I put mine on ~15 years ago. Maybe they've made them louder since then?

I pulled the stock header off my 2011 Tri-Glide and replaced it with a Jackpot stainless steel pipe. I added a high-flow air cleaner and bought a Power Vision tuner. With the new EFI program and the hardware changes, the bike has a lot more power and rides much cooler without a white-hot catalytic converter next to my right foot.
