Nice Sub, interesting how the Bezel changed its shade of green from the first photo to the second photo

That is what I love about the LV. The green looks completely different under different kinds of light!

Hey there, the 903SH is an awesome with an awesome camera attached to it! I have a black one!!!! Kinda wish I bought the white one back then since they are worth more now!

You were offered 15% on a 16610? I thought they only offer customers 10% max in HK, you must be a VIP to them!

Let me take this opportunity to say again that I'm a fan of the LV, and that I hope its my next Rolex.

Love the green, the maxi dial and the overall Sub construction.

Best,

C

A fellow yacht broker friend of mine, sold a gentleman his second yacht. The buyer called my broker friend to let him know he had a gift for him for helping him find his new boat. It was the GREEN ROLEX!!!!! I have been "tipped" before, but it is normally $200-1,000 bucks, not a Limited edition ROLEX!!!

TT stands for two tone (steel and gold)

The LV, reference 16610LV is not a limited production watch. That rumor seems to have 9 lives. LOL!

The LV made it's debut in 2003 to "commemorate 50 years of the Submariner" It is a regular production watch--albeit made in fewer numbers that the black 16610.
The difference between the two is the maxi-dial and minute hand, and of course the green bezel insert (Rolex corporate color). The watch evokes strong feelings, both pro and con( mostly due to the green insert) I'm a fan of the watch.

TT = Two Tone

No need for apoligies. Just wait until the more technical people get started. Abbreviations will start flying so fast you'll think you stumbled into the FDR Administration.

Welcome to TRF!

Welcome to TRF!

Another interesting fact about the LV is that on SOME of the EARLY "LV"s you see an OVAL "O" in "ROLEX" whereas the "LV" of more recent date have the ROUND "O".

Here the "Oval" O:

Here the "Normal" O:

(Mike's photos).

Since 2003 there have been various shades of green of the bezel insert, too.

Also, SOME claim to have seen an LV with holes in the lugs. There also exists a pic of it, but it has never really been confirm if that "LV with holes" ever existed.

Just to add to Bo's comments, there was also a few differences in the dial font of the older LVs compared to the ones today.

Im trying to recall an older thread from here a few weeks ago and I think the older Sub LVs had a thinner font on the word "Rolex" if I am not mistaken and the one today has a bolder font.
