Speaking of where do they go
Since the ADs in my area take used Rolex on trades, but dont resell the used ones, where do they go?

Everything moves within the watch world..
AD's who do not sell used, wholesale their old trade-ins out to the used car....I mean used watch....dealers at a minimal mark-up.. The used market dealers who have on-site watchmakers will usually go through them and they go in the display case, or on their internet site.....at the prevailing prices for a used piece. These dealers are the ones you want to buy used from....... Also some big volume dealers such as Tourneaus will buy lot boxes of used from the new only AD. Most all of the old GMT's though go directly to Mike.... |

Tool, I guessed at something like that. Reed's Jewlers an AD here, used to have shows about 2 times per year and actually sell used Rolexes, but I dont think they do that any more.

I expect that what they don't sell goes over to a used dealer at wholesale prices. |

I got this story from different sales people on different days too. They also told me they had never seen or had an SS Daytona in this particular store in years. Maybe part of this is because they are in a mall location and they get a lot of ignorant questions, but still... I wasn't impressed...
