The guy pulled off one of the fakest lives in all of professional sports thinking his fans were idots and most of us bought the whole family value story. I'm more dialed in than most and heard rumors for years that he "did" everything he could and didn't hide it all that much

Yeah he is probably one of the biggest "BOGUS" athlete.

Besides that, he was a good golfer.

Agreed...unfortunately the sport desperately needs him to. He draws attention to the sport that no other golfer can.

I wouldn't count him out, love him or hate him he's a force of nature, that said. Odds are against him, he's missed too much time and been too inconsistent. Literally all it would take for him though is to play well for two days to win one, he's that good.

He can't win a regular tournament much less a Major, the book is going to drive him nuts the rest of the year. So I would say No.

NO !! His superior attitude is broken and there`s no fixing it,not to mention that his competitors are no longer in fear of him.

I still don`t know what Rolex was thinking when they signed him.

I'm pulling for him. He is playing very well right now. Even when he was playing terrible after all the stuff happened he was posting T-5s in the Masters. I personally could careless what he did. It was very wrong but it's his life. I'm a Tiger fan because he is the best golfer of his generation if not ever. Golf is a much better sport when he is playing. He is actually humble now. He talks to the media and fans. Like him or not he is the most powerful athlete in the world when it comes to marketing.

I wonder how many people that bash him have friends or family that have cheated that they are still friends with and even supported during their hard times??? I guarantee it a high number. Not making an excuse for him but he owes no one an explanation but his family. I don't see people complaining about Donald Trump, Ashton Kucher, Brad Pitt, etc. what's done is done and people should really just let it go. Enjoy his golf.

Some really good points and I tend to agree with you. I think the issue for most people where Tiger is concerned comes from a pumped up false sense of family values that he not only promoted when it was convenient for him but he used it to further his standing in the golf and business communities. All while being a serial philanderer, not a cheater, but a dog who couldn't get to sleep unless his crotch was moist.

His kids were really young, his wife was devoted and involved, he told them both they weren't good enough, that's where people have an issue I think. That said you are quite right, it was his choice and humans make mistakes, who are we to judge.

I agree. Not to condone his life choices but they were his to make and ultimately pay for both financially as well as in the cost of his marriage. Neither take away from his being one of the greatest athletes in history which profession has as many philanderers in it as there are almost athletes so I am still a fan and look forward to his performances on the course.

As to the OP's question, with Tiger anything is possible as long as he can get his health back then he can win any tournament he is in.

I wish him well!

I wonder if Tiger would have been interested in her if she looked like Rosie O'Donnell.

His putting has got to markedly improve if he has any hope of winning anything.

I was watching golf central after my round this am and Tiger has gone from the best on the PGA Tour in the scoring zone (125-50 yards) to around 150 on tour. His avg distance from the hole only went from 15 ft to 21 feet. A 6 foot difference. That's it. The issue is from 15 feet he makes 30% of his putts and from over 20 it's about 10%. He was making about 2-3x as many birdies because of 6 feet. That's the difference in winning by 5 or losing by 2. Tigers putting stats are actually good this year (even though he appears to be putting awful.). Tiger will win again and he will bust off another run. Doubtful he will be As good as he once was but he will win. Don't forget he did win at Sherwood even though not an official event some amazing players there.

The average distance issue cropped up in the past couple weeks. I agree that it's certainly easier to hit putts from 15 feet out than 21 feet.

But we've seen repeatedly this year that Tiger's putting from scoring distance (let's say 15 feet on in) has undone him when he's been in position to make a run on Saturday or Sunday. And when he's really been stringing together a bad round, we've invariably seen that he's missed inside of the 10 foot range for birdies or par saves. Those were the putts that he was knocking down regularly back in his glory days, as if he were playing his EA Sports videogame instead of actually rolling them on the course.

I would like to see Tiger get into the winner's circle again. He screwed up, suffered mightily for it personally/professionally/financially, and now it's time to put a charge in viewership again.

He needs to find someone to kiss his balls, but then his putter may be too straight :)
