I removed my hologram sticker off the back of my watch the very night I took it home for the first time. I didnt throw away the sticker though. I kept it along with the papers and tags.

While "yes" is the prevailing answer...

I just happened to leave mine on my "new" (two weeks coming up) GMT Master II - C They aren't putting them on the new watches anymore, so it's kind of fun to look at it when you take the watch off. Eventually, I'll take it off and throw it away. Maybe next week....

Icon10 sticker............

I recommend removing sticker and placing it somewhere on the face to proudly indicate you are now part of the brethren of Rolex owners!!! Just kidding, personal choice having no meaning towards future value of it......................................

I've seen photos of the sticker stuck on the paper work or the inside of the box to keep as a sort of memento.

Obviously, you can leave it on the watch if you want but it will get a little gnarly over time and eventually wear off on its own.

Take it off and keep it - if you can get the dammed thing off in one piece.

Remove and keep the sticker, pretty soon they will all be a thing of the past.

Then after many years all of us will be old timers and we can say, yup I remember those stickers they used to put on the watches.

I don't. In fact, I even leave the plastic transparent sheet covering the green sticker on. It is comfortable and don't cause me any problem. I have it on for 3 months now. I removed it once and it is very uncomfortable with the green sticker against my wrist. Lots of stiction.

Here's one of mine...

I don't have any use for it, but I know there is a mania out there for some kind of "completeness" when it comes to all things Rolex..

I put a protective vinyl sticker over mine, it also has a plain green sticker over it that says the Explorer II moded number 16570, you can see the edge of the hologram because it isn't centered on it.

If someone gave me a dollar for each time this hologram question was asked, I could now buy myself a brand new TT GMT-II!!

I kept mine on my 16610 when I bought it. It eventually wore down and fell off. I think next time I buy a rollie I'll peel it off and stick it in the box.

I think the only people that keep their stickers on are the ones that buy fakes. They say... "Hey, it's real. Look at the sticker!!"

Ask this question cause I already told the Service Center to remove the sticker when I left my DJ for dail changed. From blk roman to regular silver dail. I think it's classic.

Anyway, they required me to sign on the receipt says that I agree to remove the sticky. Strange???

I will get back my watch in a week Will post some pic later on.

Very strange. I have never heard of anyone requiring that sign something requiring that you remove the sticker. Its your Rolex. Remove it if you want to, but them requiring it?

That is strange, why would they require you to remove it. It doesnt make sense. Maybe its to confirm that the watch was sold to you I guess.

The reason for Rolex advicing this migth be the steel pitting that the Green Sticker can cause (as I state above).

That is probably also the reason why Rolex now delivers watches with the peel-off CLEAR sticker.

Just my 2 cents.

I live in HK, so it happened in the Hong Kong Rolex Service Center. Maybe we chinese do everything differently

I guess that it's easiler for them to open the back if they remove the sticker So they need a simple signature to make sure that I agreed to have the sticker removed.
