Icon17 All this itching for gold made me transform my GMT IIc

As I have stated in another thread I have been itching for an AG watch lately. This made me wonder what to do with my SS GMT IIc once I got around and got an AG watch.

After looking on all the sugestions for what to choose, my SS GMT didn't seem so nice any more. So I got inspired by another thread on this forum and decided to make it a real sport watch.

Here is how it looked at start:

This is what UPS delivered:

And this is during work :-)

Actually I cut to muck the first time so I ordered a second strap, whick actually turnded out to be a blessing. I have a relatively small wrist and using the "precut" part of both straps I was able to include the easy-link an make it fit just right for my wristsize

I allways though high end watches on a rubberstrap lookes both refined and sporty. What do you think?

Here are the result:

Not bad, but I see no reason to be disapointed with the original combination. It's one heck of a great looking watch.

I agree. Maybe I just needed a change. Anyway I love it, but I might change back after a couple of weeks. When I get an Ag Rolex I think it's gona be RubberB for my GMT all the time

Sounds like a great combo to have an All gold GMT and a Rubber band SS.

I really love that rubber band, it looks great on the GMT. Love how you kept the clasp too. Awesome looking watch.

No reason you have to change your SS once you get Ag.

awesome! rubber b makes the best quality rubber strap and the use of the rolex clasp is a huge plus. Well done, i wear my rolex more on leather bands and natos then on their bracelets.

That's awesome. I'd like to buy that to try on my Sub. Never mind. Won't fit...

I wonder why they say it won't work with the glidelock.

Big fan of that change! For my taste, it really goes well with the bezel font. Very nice.

Very interesting! Looks like a whole new watch... I suppose that band will tie you over for a few minutes until the urge/thoughts for your Gold timepiece kicks in again! Good luck!

Wow you now have a cool looking "Breitling" lol.
To each their own but seems like a lot of work to make a Rolex not look like a Rolex.
