This looks bad - on dial "OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE" font is very different.
Don't recall seeing that before.

Here is what I observed. The watch appears to have an acrylic crystal which would make it a GMT 16750. The bezel insert is aftermarket along with the crystal. The winding crown is wrong and way too large. The insert is faded and the band is stretched. The Rolex coronet on the band clasp appears to be of the "fake" variety that I am familiar with. From the photos though, the dial appears genuine but I wouldn't be 100% based on the quality of the photos.

I'd pass on it and lean toward it being a counterfeit GMT from the mid to late 1980's when these watches were plentiful on Canal St. in NYC.

???? what are we calling fake?? the crystal, sure it's aftermarket.

the dial looks fine. the 502b ends are the correct ones for a gmt
on a jubilee. seller has mis labled it. might not be there's, who
knowns?? also, the seller lack of internet sales experience shows.
(pictures and description)

i would agree with Mr Springer about passing on it. as it gones,
you will almost never be wrong, when you buy the seller

I would agree with Mr Springer about passing on it. as it gones,
you will almost never be wrong, when you buy the seller

Blaine, I was about to lean more toward genuine, but with the typical fake winding crown, and the other aftermarket or questionable aspects I mentioned earlier, I'm leaning more counterfeit than genuine. The clasp coronet is another deal breaker for me - especially under magnification. I do agree with you on the dial though, it looks more genuine than counterfeit based on the photos, but I wouldn't make a 100% call on these photos. Also, I did see the end links, which I agree appear genuine, but I don't like the clasp.
