datejust with 1530 movement
Hi,
Hello Everyone, nice to find this forum. I picked up vintage Datejust the other day, took it to a local shop to get it cleaned up and looked through a book they had there and it didn't show a 1601 with the 1530 listed. The book also noted not all variations were listed. Anyone have history with this combo together, I would love to find out more. oyster perpetual datejust watch has gold/stainless band, gold color face mod: 1601 ser: 890xxx mov: 1530. the casing has a # of 11159 or 111 59 near the bottom 1/3rd |

Nice looking 1560 movement. It appears the auto bridge was replaced with 1530 auto wind at some point. Common practice as they are exactly the same minus the markings. Still has the buttery rotor.
The 1560 movement is a chronometer rated movement. Cheers |

Thanks for the responce, any idea of value? The rest of the watch is in overall really good condition. Also im stil puzzled by the marking iii59 in the case back, it is not visible in the photos but is there.......from what ive read that means 3rd qtr of 1959........so the case back must be a replacement?
