I was trying to change the date on my subc yesterday to the 1st turning the screw clockwise but i accidentally went a day too far to the 2nd so I turned the screw counter clockwise thinking that the date would go back but it didn't so I pull the screw to the final position and turn the hands back but I noticed the date changed at around 7o clock and not at 12. Is there something wrong here? did I damage the date wheel by turning it counter clockwise?

I don`t know what you did but I don`t think you can damage your watch by twiddling the hands and the date wheel,however if I`m wrong someone will set the record straight before too long.

From what I've been told turning the crown the wrong way on the second position shouldn't hurt anything.... I'm sure the experts will answer this better then I.

Just forward the time passing 12 once and set correct time, fixed.

is the date suppose to go backwards if I turn the screw counter clockwise from the date change position because it doesn't so I'm not sure if its broken

No date only changes one direction in my Rolexes. You can't damage it bu trying to turn it backwards.

what you did is ok. it is the same with gmt movement turning date back requires to move time to 7pm to get the full date. but i would probably avoid doing this in the sub (moving date forward is much easier)

My Sub C does exactly the same. Go forwards only and you're fine. You won't break the watch though so don't worry.
