Daytona Cases - Please help settle an argument.
Hey everyone - could you please help settle an argument for me.
Do the full gold Daytona cases differ in shape to the SS and TT models? In some pics the full gold models appear to have slightly thicker lugs and crown protectors to the SS and TT models. Is this just an optical illusion or do the full gold models actually have bigger cases. In fact the SS and TT models right hand side lugs appear a bit thinner and taper more than the left side were as most full gold models appear symmetrical. I am I imagining this? Thanks. |

The white and rose gold on bracelet and strap have different case. The yellow bracelet version has same case as steel and TT version the yellow gold strap version has same case as white and rose gold basically bit wider and different lugs. Hope this helps.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. This seems to be a very little known fact.

Yes, they are different. I have a SS as well as a RG, both the current model.
1. The bezel on the SS slightly extends out over the case, whereas in the RG, the bezel in slightly smaller than the case. 2. The bezel in the SS is more rounded, whereas the bezel on the RG is chiselled. 3. The lugs on the SS are rounded, whereas the lugs on the RG are sharp like on my GMTII-c. See pics in the following posts that show the differences: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=229966 http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=230975 http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=228537 The above are comparisons with the current 'G' or Random series. I believe V and Z all gold models have rounded lugs though ... |
