Goodbye FNF Z4....

Well its time for another change... I wanted to ask you guys what do you think should replace my daily beater Z4... She has served me well... but it juggles my gels too much....plus, I really dont need two sports cars...

So basically im looking for a much more comfortable car for daily drive. I have 4 offices, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Chatsworth, Colton. So I do drive alot.

I was always a BMW buyer. I had Mercedez. But never a Lexus.

Here is whats on my list:

Lexus CT200h
Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Maybe:
Mercedes C250 Coupe
BMW 3-series Coupe

Not a fan of Lexus or Toyota, and seeing as you're considering the BMW 3-series - I highly recommend it!! I just bought a used one myself and I have to say, for the money, it is the most fun practical car I've driven. Truly earns its moniker "the ultimate driving machine" (within reason of course).

I also test drove the industry equivalents in the Merc C300 and Audi A4 and found them very uninspiring. Granted those were 2009/2010 model years. A brand new '11 or '12 might be a different experience.

BMW is coming out with a 3 series hybrid (not sure when), but I would look into one of those if I were still driving all over the place!

Judging from your driving and the traffic the Lexus is the best choice. Some luxury in a compact hybrid. In CA I'm sure it basically will pay for itself. IMHO BMW 3 series are getting way overpriced for what they are. Their hybrid will prob be $60k... My exstepfather owns a Lexus dealership and that's what my mother drove when I was younger. IMHO they are pretty good cars. I've been in a CT200h but never been on the road in one. I've heard good things as its a great hybrid that gives you more lux than your normal cheap concept.

C350 4 door sedan, if you want a nice practical family car.
Some people like to feel connected to the road. I want to be isolated from the road.
Maybe an E class coming off a lease?

It might not fill your bill, but I'd say buy a decked out Honda Accord.

Hondas may not be particularly prestigious, but mine is 9 years old and when I told the service guy yesterday that I was thinking of coming in later this year for a new one, he looked at me and said, "You don't need a new one."

I've never heard those words in a dealership in all my life.

Doesnt BMW have a new diesel? Since you drive so much maybe that's the way to go.

If you're looking at the CT, I recommend driving a VW TDI Sportwagen. Has more storage than an RX, it is much more fun to drive, comfortable, gets 40ish on the highway, and even with every possible option you can get out the door for around US32K.

Went that route myself a couple of months ago vs. another Beemer or Lexus. Of course I've already blown most of the savings on a vintage Rolex and an AP, but I blame that on the TRF enablers.

Bro has the new E. I love the looks but it's still not as comfortable to me. Wierd isn't it? When I sat in the seat of the c and E I was disappointed.

I think Lexus and Cadillac makes the most comfortable seats.

What about a 135i? Around 40k and a hoot to drive. Reminiscent of the original 2002. Can probably keep up with the e46 m3s.

Is f would be nice. But if I'm spending that kind of money nothing will beat an M3 doc. I drove that IS F. It's the same as a Cadillac V, and Benz AMG. They are powerfull cars but the M3 is still king.

The new GS350? got pretty good review on the handling

For decent mpg, Infiniti M37 Hybrid gets 32mpg on the freeway but no sports pack

If you like something small and mad, how about mini cooper roadster JCW?
