Dominant or non-dominant
Gents,
This questions seems a little silly but here it goes. Which wrist do you wear your watches on, your dominant or non-dominant hand? I ask this because I have always worn my watches on my non-dominant hand thinking that it will get less wear/damage. My other thought as far as aesthetics is that a wedding band and a watch on the same hand/wrist too much if the other hand has nothing? Thoughts and opinions are welcome. |

Non-dominant here. I find that on my dominant it "gets in the way too much" with things like writing, etc.

Generally I've heard it should be worn on the opposite hand of that which you write with, i.e. your non-dominant hand. I think it has more to do with practicality reasons than for keeping the watch in question in good condition; it'll get in the way when you're writing, among other things. Most people wear it on the left because most are right handed.
As for the ring and watch being too much, I think you'll notice in plenty of wrist shots here that individuals on this forum have no problem with that.

When I lived in south america I wore my watch on my dominant (right) hand so I could drive with the window down and not worry about it getting snatched.

Non dominant/
My fiance is ambidextrous and though she mostly writes with her right hand, she wear it on her right wrist. She says it gets snagged less as she uses her left hand for everything else. Biggest problem is, when we're walking side by side and you hear the "ching" when 2 watches smashes together

I wear mine on the left....but correct me if I'm wrong, aren't the majority of watches designed to be worn on the left wrist due to crown position?
