Golf..
Rolex is often associated with Golf (The rule book, sponsorship, advertising etc)..
So, who plays, how long for, and off what ? I'll start : Been playing about 3 years, and off of 18 currently

I used to play quite a bit a decade or so ago.
Now days they've about priced me out of it....After a year of golf, I could buy a new Rolex.. Gave away a set of nice Spaulding Top Flights.... Bought them new in 1968...I guess they were a bit dated, but I'm not sure newer clubs would have helped me that much....might have been lighter though.. |

Not my sport. Last time I was out on a course was 40+ years ago. On the par 3 6th, I shot one to the green and two putted. Picked my ball and went back to the clubhouse. I figured I'd quit as a par golfer at the top of my game.
Haven't been back since.

Been playing since I was 8, and I earned a golf scholarship for college which helped cut some tuition if that tells you anything.

How much of that time is changing out the cleats to soft cleats?
I played a little, even had clubs (lent them to a guy who changed jobs and never saw him again). One time at the driving range, I hit an awesome ball, only to have the head of my Big Bertha hit the steel I-beam holding up the 2nd floor. Big dent on the top. But at my skill level, made little difference. I'll stick to Tennis, play that once every couple of years!

As many as it takes to buy another JLC or Panerai. And you should stick to tennis, since comedy doesn't work for ya.

LOL Not really...playing THAT much golf in my college years just burnt me out on the sport. Now being 33 years old, I take one Florida golf trip a year and might play 2-3 times outside of that trip. Hard to find time when you're trying to pay the bills.

Thanks - The botton 2 pics are of Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Nevada which has to be seen to be believed.
There are stunning desert courses then there is Wolf Creek. Very reasonably priced, about 45 minutes fromthe Strip. Just surreal. http://www.golfwolfcreek.com/topmenu...=230&page=4331 |

I've been lucky enough to have played on Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Some of the holes are heaven sent, just picture perfect, that's what part of the game is about.

I have only been taking it seriously for about a year now. I currently play off an 11. I play about three times a week. It's pretty easy to do thanks to dual enrollment getting me out of school at 2:00 everyday.

Thanks for the offer Daren. Really nice course. I love Bermuda greens I think they roll wonderfully. Not to mention they are a nice change from the bentgrass I am used to playing. If your ever in the Greenville area feel free to stop by the neighborhood/course. www.ironwoodgolf.com. Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes as this was posted from my iPhone.

I live right on a nice little course but only play a few times a year. Much of the time is spent picking up stray balls from the lawn or patio before the gardeners come racing through.
Great game and I really play well watching on TV. |

Hey Tyler, 11 is pretty darn respectable
I used to have a handicap of 18, and I don't think I could always easily play to that. I don't know so don't me but do you pro guys officially have a zero handicap or what? |
