Wixons and JB Hudsons. Don't worry about any others.

RF Moeller's before I would go to JB Hudson. Hudson lost Rolex and their sales people are kind of snooty for what brands they sell. Wixon's have very nice lines and knowledgeable staff.

What part of town are you staying at and I can perhaps give you good resturaunt recommendations?

None that I know of. AAA watches in Wayzata often has pocket watches as that's what the owner Bill is into as well as grandfather clocks plus newer Pre owned watches but I don't know anyone who specializes in vintage. I wish there was...

I live 200 miles north of Minneapolis, but two of my daughters live there, and they bring us to their favorite restaurants when we visit. The listed places are all very highly rated by critics, and I can personally recommend them.

It's a quick drive from Maple Grove to downtown Minneapolis on I-94. Maple Grove itself is a very suburban location, and it's never been a destination for me.

Lots of good food in Maple Grove but it's 20+ minutes from downtown where the fun is or 40 minutes to Mall of America. Plenty of shops in the area. For a lunch or casual dinner, 3 Squares which is a sister location to the Longfellow Grill has the best turkey burger in the state. Not what you think and a must try with the sweet potato fries. Unbelievably good! Pittsburg Blue is an upper end steak house which is good. Lots of the chains as well but would definitely recommend either of the above or if you decide to wander out of the area, let me know because there great resturaunts in town depending on your mood and how far you want to drive.
