Lady datejust 31mm - what color?

Okay, I went in to look at the pink diamond dial and saw inside one with the black mother of pearl which is tempting. Which would you go for if you can only buy one at this time? Bracelet is the steel/everose jubilee for both. Help!

Between those two I would definitely go with the black mother of pearl. The MOP dials are gorgeous.

My mom has a mother of pearl dial which is beautiful but for whatever reason see it as a style for an older person. I am looking into a Lady Datejust for my Fiancee who is 28 and model 178271 prj is AMAZING in my opinion. That is the 31mm ss/everose model with pink dial and pink gold roman numerals with jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel

goog53,

178271 pink diamond dial is the exact model I wanted. I was ready to buy and wanted the store to order for me. Then, I saw the exact same style with black MOP. I really like both but that would kill my wallet :D
The store convinced me to get the pink since it was my first choice, but they had to order.

Hi there!

Great to hear from the ladies, not that we don't appreciate the input from the fellas!

I know what you mean; decisions!! I had the same dilemma- 31mm - i knew the size was perfect for me, roman numerals, same- no decision there- jubilee bracelet-- easy- love it- then it came to the face..., white or blue! Yikes! In the end I went with the white dial, since it was my first choice.. but I tell you it is hard!

I think like the op said- you can buy both- but if you really can't decide- go with your first instinct, and then for another occasion in the future, go for the other... you might be surprised that your taste changes. I know mine does all the time..

It's always good to have something to look forward to..

good luck! I "officially" get mine this weekend for graduation, so pics to follow for sure. Please do the same with what you decide- Im sure it will be beautiful!

In general, I consider black dials to be more sporty and white or light colored dials to be more dressy. Of your two choices, I'd pick the pink. I've always found the black MOP to look kind of "muddy" on the wrist. It isn't jet black but tends to look dark gray.

Between these I'd go for the pink!
