Defenitely not a pork steak. How about a big porterhouse, with grilled mushrooms and a huge baked spud. And don't forget to share it - it is Mother's Day!

Skirt steak.
You have to work a bit more with it, but the flavour is unparalleled!

Demosthene, you guys have Flank steak down under, kinda the same thing but better quality. Marinade that thing over night, excellent. Teriyaki, crushed garlic, fresh ground pepper and red onion. Put it in a gallon size baggie, squeeze all the air out of it and shake it every few hours.

Barbecue on 500 degrees and flip it, after about 4 mins on each side for medium rare. And your right, the flavor crazy good, and it's a cheap cut of meat.

We're having garlic, chilli and ginger prawns with steamed black mussels tonight - got anything to go with that?

With the garlic and ginger I'd go beer & shots (Vodka or Sake) and afterwards with the cheese platter I'd open this.
