Shipping a watch to Rolex

I plan on sending a watch of mine to RSC Dallas for service. In terms of packaging, how would you recommend I send it? I want to make sure the watch is protected.

Are watch shipping cases sold on the Internet somewhere?

If I remember correctly, they want USPS registered mail insured and tell you not to use plastic tape.

I did this recently. They didn't send me packing materials but they do provide detailed instructions. Using paper tape is important with registered mail. and the box has to be plain with no writing on it.
I bought paper tape and it was still too gloss for the Post Office, so they put their tape over mine. They have to be able to stamp it "Registered" all over. I sent Registered, priority mail. Rolex sends back regular Registered.

If it's going in for service, it doesn't need much more than good bubblewrap and decent precautions..

They will not send you back any packaging that you send it in, so keep that in mind if you choose to use something that you would want to hang on to..
