USA price increase ?
Hi All,
I hope to buy a new sub in September, when funds will be there. Do you expect to see a increase before then? Thanks. |

In Sept...... Maybe. I expect an increase when the new models are released. Since we have had a lot in the past 3 years they might just release without an increase. Only Rolex knows but I purchased last August to be before the next increase and the prices have been the same for a year. Only Rolex knows. We only guess. Will there be an increase, YES. When, who the f*ck knows.....

The dollar is relatively strong now against the Swiss Franc and Euro. If that trend continues, I'd guess no price increase by Sept.

Does Rolex take FX rates into account for pricing? I guess we ultimately have no absolute way of knowing. If so, I'm sure if the USD falls relative to other currencies, we won't see price decreases!

A price decrease would be nice! LOL. Don't think we'll ever see that though. I'm no insider, but I think the price increases industry-wide in the past several years have more to do with the strength of the Swiss Franc than anything else. So FX is taken into account because Swiss companies have to pay their Swiss employees in Francs and will demand enough dollars, euros, etc to do so. And non-Swiss manufactures keep up because they don't want a perception that their products are less "luxury." It also seems that the companies correct significant cost disparties between currencies. So if there is a fear that the euro will drop this year due to problems with the PIIGS, maybe it's not the best time to raise prices in the US. Just guessing here, for what it's worth.

That person is lying and your AD won't know anything until they get the certified letter saying what new msrp are effective immediately.

You're AD tells the truth and he won't know until a day or two before the increase when he receives a FedEx overnight from Rolex USA. The easiest thing to predict is a price increase on Rolex watches. It is much less easy to predict when. When someone tells you that an increase is inevitable for any given time and he is not an AD telling you that he's received his letter, he's a liar.

My AD call me today to notify me of a price increase on June 1st. She said is going to be 10%! I expect a price increase soon but not sure about the 10% part. Anyone can confirm this?

Attention people
ADs are notified only a few days before they are required to re price all of their watches via a simple letter from Rolex I have seen it. If you want to know when the next increase is you better know someone in corporate because there is really no other way As for the OP; My good sir it is almost certain Rolex will increase their prices the question is when and there are maybe 2-3 people on this site that actually have notice when there is an increase and believe me they rnt going to say anything |

I can confirm this too. Just left my local AD. Price increases go into affect starting June 1st. Went ahead and picked up a submariner and saved a good bit with my discount.
