186 - You might try Timezone for more in-depth Pannie info. They have lots of info. Don't forget, this is really a Rolex site! Cheers, Larry.

There are several members here who are Panny fans. They'll chime in shortly. TZ and http://www.paneristi.com/ if you'd like to get a head start.

Speak for yourself, this was posted on the non rolex board, some people here don't even like the god awful crown. I know, heaven forbid, but it is true.

186, if you have any specific questions on models or things you need help with pertaining to Panerai, feel free to PM or email me anytime. Always willing to help out as I have owned more than a few.

panerisit.com is a good starting place

Panerisiti, a nickname for people passionate about Panerai watches, are very strong, almost cult like followers of the brand. I have a rose gold Panerai 231 but most Panarei people prefer SS. Rare watches, some in the $65,000 range are the "Pre-Vendome" models that have a sense of history to them, and precede both the takeover by the Richmont group, and the influence on the watch by US actor Slyvester Stallone.

Panerai makes many limited series watches, which recently have gone up in value. I sold a divers watch, a Pam 187 with a 47mm case for more than it's original price recently, and many discontinued models have been going up. The Pam 190 which has a Jaeger LeCoultre movement, and some of the Angelus 8 day reserve (period between windings) is popular, and since 2002 the brand has been manufacturing movements "in house" which is often associated with a more serious brand of watch.

Go to the many Panerai forums and you will find a wealth of information.

I'm hoping mine will do the same. Only 20 of them so I should be ok. Yes this was just a excuse to post a pic of my new toy.
