I must admit I have a connection to my watch and I can't imagine flipping it but I don't associate gender into the picture. I'm not French and I have enough problems with the opposite gender as it is.

I always consider both my GMT and Explorer II to be very masculine so they are males but I always say "she" when I refer to them.
Example given: "I think I will wear my GMT today. Its time she got the wrist time she deserves." "Beautiful watch!! Shes a beauty!"
