Is this too good to be true for a vintage?

Thanks guys. The date shown on "29" looked awkward initially, and for the price was too good to be true

If you purchase that watch, send it to a RSC for a servicing. I recently purchased a similar year watch and the service ran $800. So figure that cost in your purchase price as well. Good Luck.

To me the date font looks wrong. Too small in the magnifier and the bezel font also looks wrong. On the 6 on the bezel, the red and blue do not go thru the middle of the 6....usually an aftermarket bezel....my $0.02.....

What about the "18" in the bezel? Does the red blue normally goes between the 1 and 8 of the "18"?

Vernon, at best the date wheel has been replaced. The 9 should be open on that vintage.
The insert could be fine, Rolex, if nothing else was inconsistent on inserts. |
