FS:Vintage 1958 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Black Dial 6535, Cal.1036
This is a beautiful vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 6535, with a caliber 1036 movement, and non-quick set date feature. The date disc is silver with black numbers to match the black dial with white metal chevrons and hands. The bezel is the type that is flat and has squarish indicators at each hour, with machined straight lines in between, with coronet logo at the 12 position. All the features work properly and the watch keeps excellent time. I suspect that it was serviced within the last few years cause winding, setting, and ticking are excellent. The case pipe still has a little life left in it. The bracelet is U.S.A, newer than the watch, but genuine, jubilee style stainless steel. Overall the piece is in excellent shape though it has normal wear and tear for its age. Still striking in appearance, very fine vintage fare. Case reads IV 58, and 6535. Same reference number can be made out with a loupe, though very very fainly, between the lugs. Serial number in the 400,XXX range lands squarely in the IVth quarter of 1958, so the case is all original to the model and movement, and that is a good thing.
