Correct Crystal for Tudor 7928
Hi, can any of you more experienced vintage guys tell me if this looks like the correct crystal that originally came with this 1961 Tudor 7928 PCG with gilt dial? A fellow collector looked at it and told me he thought it came with a super dome crystal and this one did not appear to be super dome from his perspective? Could someone also please tell me the model number for the crystal that originally came with this watch so I can purchase one if this isn't the correct one?
Thanks. |

Tropic 19 is the correct crystal. Rolex has a service 1 but it is not like the original super dome that came on it originally. Your odds of finding a NOS authentic super dome are very slim. Most if not all are aftermarket sold as authentic. Aftermarket ones cost about $15-$30 They work and look almost the same if installed correctly.

Thanks Nick. Does this appear to be the correct Tropic 19 crystal?
