Where is your hologram?
Mine is on my white board now. Some of the green goo stayed on the watch, but I hit it with some acetone. With it removed, the watch flops just a little bit, but I will get used to it.

If the watch I get Friday has a hologram, I'll take it off before I leave the store and put it on the paperwork.
Which begs the question--and I don't mean to stray off topic--if the watch has a hologram does that mean it will also have the old style paperwork or could it come with the CC warranty? Anyone know?

I threw mine away and cleaned the case back with olive oil. I cannot see any benefit in keeping it.

i threw it in with the paperwork... it didnt stick anymore and morst of the green stuff stayed on the watch which i cleaned with my sweater (works very well).
I dont think there is much benifit in keeping it because many pros say it doesnt prove authenticity. |

I ask myself everyday, should I remove the hologram or not?
It´s a pain to read the time. Here is my one. Jocke |

Why...
remove it?
I picked-up a thin clear vinyl protector (used to protect watch crystals) and stuck it over the case back/hologram. It sticks without any adhesive and seems to work fine...doing it's job keeping things looking new. |

I had my back case engraved, so it wasn't on there when I got my watch.
Whatever you do, don't use Acetone to remove the sticky stuff, because it will "melt" your back gasket if it gets in contact. Use rubbing alcohol instead.

Acetone on a paper towel is ok. It evaporates before it can get past the flat part of the caseback.

I use nail polish remover on a towel and swirl only were the hologram was, works great, hopefully my gasket is ok. It should be though, I only wiped were the sticker was.

Binned ALL the stickers. I plan to wear my watch - not preserve it for the AJ museum.....
BTW if you DO plan on leaving it on there, mind you don't get any moisture underneath the sticker and the case back. Cases of pitting (corrosion) isn't unheard of when the moisture gets trapped right on top of the metal. |

Mine's still on...not for any other reason other than I haven't gotten around to taking it off.
There is a bonus for keeping it on, however: when a ham-and-egger asks to see your watch and, of course, question if it's real, at some point they will just look on the back and are convinced it's genuine, despite anything you've said. |

My Hologram sticker had a raised/bent edge and was annoying me so I removed it. Where can I buy another sticker?
