Opinion on Rolex leather strap and s/s buckle

Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a genuine strap and buckle to complement my 1965 Precision.

Found this on eBay and was wondering if anyone thinks this is genuine?

Hope the link works. I've been advised by a local watch dealer to buy a s/s buckle and get it gold plated... Instead of paying silly money for solid 18ct especially as the watch is 9ct

Thanks for any advice

Jon

can't get scan to enlarge, odd that he has 3 for sale

but not unprecidented. I think I would look for a plated gold one as you can sometimes get for same price as a ss. Rolex still makes these and they come up on the forum from time to time. I just bought one a couple months ago for about $100.00 U.S. Put a WTB on forum and I bet someone has for sale :-)
good luck. M
