Icon14 buying and selling online

hi y'all:

i would really have to give it to this forum for being a great site to learn about and see nice watches anytime you want... not to mention being able to sell and buy watches as well...

being able to find the watch you want and then discover something else that you also want and then switch and sample is what like is also a great experience, so that's why this site is great...

i have ran into scammers and idiots trying to outsmart me through craigslist and ebay, and i must say they be doa if they were to come on here and try to scam people...

for example this shady member: very clever however

dlicheri

wasted my time to the utmost... and then another one claiming to own atlanta diamonds and watches company...

cheers for trf !!!

I got contacted by Earl Gray from atlanta diamonds and watches company too. I googled them and found one profile created in July 2012 and One awesome review again from 3 days back. Wants to do COD, claims they have a store front but the address is for an apartment building. Beware!!!

Well I think any member who actively uses this forum would try and be pleasant to deal with and maintain a level of professionalism. I don't know what to do with 1/3 of my free time if it wasn't for TRF lol

my only advice is, do you homework! Research the seller, and all their references. I would call them and talk to them. Making sure that they are trustworthy. As always, BUY the seller!

As someone who has bought a watch from a TRF member/seller, I can tell you to do all your homework. Research the seller, look for their other posts and information. Call them and actually talk to them over the phone to get an idea of how they are. Look for similar items in the classifieds here to make sure their price is on par with other prices of the wanted watch. Ask for more photos, especially ones with some sort of reference to the day the picture was taken, like a newspaper or have them write a note with your user name on it with the date so you know they took the pictures for you.

Like all the experienced members say on here; buy the seller, not the watch

No, but the website and the number on it ARE yours. And that's how I was always forwarded to him, I called your number and was put in touch. If it's just one of your employees, I can only sympathize. But an 18yr old woman who just left for college, no longer has money for room and board because of this deal. And according to this forum, it looks like a man who served in the U.S. Marines now has to look elsewhere for wedding funds. This is the first time I ever wanted to live in Atlanta. Expect police.
