thanks for your kind remarks!!

I really am enamored with this watch.

I am really looking hard for a SS Daytona new. I dont want to wait 4 yrs to get one on some list but I dont want to pay double retail.

Any ideas? I know its a rhetorical qu... everyone wants a SS Daytona white face watch.

That is one superb looking watch. Love the while dial/Roman combo.

I thought Rolex gave a large RED box with this model!

Wear it in good health, pal.

good morning

The new 2007 models get the downsized boxes, no more $200 wood boxes. Maybe its a way of keeping the price of the watch down,, to reduce the cost of the packaging. Its ok with me.

thanks

to me the watch goes with this, another new toy I just bought:

Thanks everyone

To me there are analogies between the Rolex and Porsche

great equipment, precision and durability.

Kind of go hand in hand and remember the Rolex 24 hr racing that Porsche participates in big time.

I do love the 997 911 turbo. Its a beast with 505 Ft Lbs of torque and 480 hp. I still get excited when I start it up!!

I do have a qu abt the faces in general and will post my qu in the general area.

my trade in for the new Turbo:

Here is my means of transportation :

To me, having a Rolex watch does not necessarily mean I have to have a high-end means of transport.

Congrats on your DD!

Yes, this model Biomega bicycle has a cardanic shaft (no chain!), as is designed for city driving.

Um, your low end transport has disc brakes and direct drive (automatic?). It's not a one speed with a coaster hub brake...

Just getting back to your DD thread for a moment. Why are your Roman numerals upside down?

You need an Australian dial.

PS. Your Porsche is awesome and that is the fastest colour.

Hi Guys

I think we got the roman numerals covered,, upside down, IIII vs IV..

Just took me a second to recover when I saw the IIII as opposed to a IV.

I was so enamored with the watch that I didnt see this til yesterday,,, wow,, never noticed it. When I did,, it was a bit stressful but now,, It's great and its genuine.

The Twin Turbo Porsche:

I originally went to the dealer and ordered Speed Yellow. There is a 2 week window period to change colors and add or subtract options.

I thought long and hard,, Guards Red vs Speed Yellow.

My dealership said he probably would subtract $5000 on a Speed Yellow trade in because most buyers dont want one.. They love the color but its just too flamboyant for them.

So, on the last day I chickened out and ordered the Guards Red.

I had a guards red 993/911 in 1995 and a black cab in 2003 so I really wanted yellow but,, red won out.

I am very happy with this car.

I have played with all kinds of cars on the road and nothing yet has beaten me. For a stock car the Porsche Turbo is awesome, a beast and will take your breath away in acceleration when you hit the "juice" button that adds 55 foot pounds of torgue to up the total torque to 505..

An amazing experience everytime I get into the car.

I even enjoy visiting my M.I.L. because its a 92 mile drive and I am begging my wife to go to see her folks all the time. Meaning, the car is that good... LOL
