Simple answer try them both on the one that smiles back the most thats the one to buy.
Only yourself can choose the watch that you want too wear for the next 20 plus years both quite different watches.

Very tough IMHO. I live the blue disk ayM with the upgraded clasp. On the other hands the Daytona I'd great but I homage the ND function.

Easy question to answer... YM. Why? I like a big watch and if you put them both on the Yachty just looks bigger. Plus the new Blue Face just looks AWESOME....

Try both of them first, then decide. But in general i would go for the Daytona, unless i own a yacht ( or even a small boat with 2 engines ) then i would buy the yacht master

It's a tough choice.

For me, the Daytona ... I think ... wait.

That blue looks pretty good. Maybe the YM ... it has a date.

No, the Daytona ... it has all those pretty sub-dials and functions to play with.

Or possibly the YM ... less of a chance of seeing that in the wild.

I'm confused!

Good luck.

Hi Abdullah

The new YM is a beautiful watch and would be my choice between the two. However, I might be tempted to wait for next year's Basel to see if any interesting new Daytona models are released e.g. with the ceramic bezel (just my guess, of course). If you cant wait that long (bearing in mind that new models will not be available until later in '13), then I say go for that rather lovely YM

Doesn't matter much what we think. What do you think? Get the one you like better after trying them both on and getting a feel for them.

It will always depend on your tastes, lifestyle and preferences. Having said that, I think I would go with the Daytona.

Really tough choice. I actually like the YM more, but the SS Daytona will most likely hold it's value much better (than any watch for that matter).

Assuming you plan to keep it, and wear it, Yacht!

**note** I'm shocked at how many people have chosen YM against a SS Daytona. Wow.

I think A lot of people are turned off on the YM. that however has changed with the new blue YM. so it seems new. if it shows good in person its gonna be a hot seller.

also blue anything is a fav. on TRF.

I think the Daytona would be my first pick between the two. It’s a little more versatile because it has a black face. I do however love the new yachtmaster and it’s the only other Rolex that really calls to me right now.
