I'm better known for the MW Collection of plexi-glass Rolex Sea-Dwellers & Submariners, but this big bad boy has been slung around my wrist since I bought it last month.

It's not my first Deep-Sea... I wasn't a great fan at first, and it took two weeks of walking lop-sided with an Omega Seamaster 1,200m PloProf bracelet watch on my wrist to convince me the 116660 could be a daily wearer.

My watch is not new. Bought from a local collector, the watch has prior "history". From new, the watch was quite literally, "in at the deep end" as the owner's diving log book shows!

The original owner was Mike O'Leary, a Royal Navy Clearance and Comex diver who still works as a commercial diver in the North Sea. Mike recorded the first dive with his Rolex Deep-Sea, and it's registered over 60,000 Youtube views to date.

I'm looking forward to using the watch on my own future recreational diving trips, and the watch will sit happily alongside the other 'Dwellers in my collection!

Nice history and nice to know yours met the test and passed with flying colors even if it has zero chance of bing that deep again. My Deepsea will be what I take on any recreational diving trip I ever go on but there's little chance it ever sees more then 150ft. Enjoy the Deepsea!

Congrats, and nice to have one with some history to it. My DSDD sees more wrist time than any other Rolex I have at this point. As someone who started with Panerais and then got into Rolex, it seems the perfect size to me.
