Icon7 What steps would you use to evaluate this watch?

I hope you see this post in the light it is intend (please no kill joy posters)..

I am new here as some known

Here is a Ebay listing for a Rolex watch, I have not decided if it is genuine or not. But looking at the listing there is at least one thing I would ask of the seller.

Here is a link to the Rolex watch

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2710223443...84.m1423.l2649

My task if you accept it is to, without using Acronyms, go the through thought processes you would use Evaluating the watch and what questions you would ask the seller. No cheating, no refering to others posts..

This is just for fun and also to help educate others..

Compare price to similar sold....this is WAY OVER PRICED.
Remaining steps...not necessary.

Fake....without even seeing pics!!!

Start a thread of your own (In the watchout section), and post some pics, as there's no need to piggyback this thread started by someone else.

It is a fake a real Daytona does not have that on the back case, also checkout the three small dials, do the work? Are the numbered the same as a real daytona.

Check the small dial spacing and letters is it correct to a real Daytona..

Start a new thread and post pics there..

Good look!

Proberly sold for about £200 pounds.

cost £10 !

Well as a mechanical watch maybe £5 as a curiosity, but people will know your wearing a funny fake. Behind your back they will be saying this guys deals in rip off goods.

Do you really want to lose your good name, amongst people who know you?

Do you perfer to be known, as the guy who sells fake items?

Just a opinion, a suggestion...

Jabba... In another thread that you were the OP just a few days ago you concede buying an obvious fake on eBay...and now you are offering advice to others as if you have some expertise in watches? Hmmm...

Onion,

I don't know you. But you seem eager to defame me a new poster to this forum, why?

This section is watchout and includes discusion about watches, as to legitiomacy, authenticity, replication or conducting of fraud.

I post two of my purchases here to have the experienced people here confirm my suspicion that they was fake Rolex. I decided they was but I need people with greater experience of the two watches posted!

I realise I can not know everything in the world so I am always learning, I am not as lucky as yourself who is alway right!, By the way can you tell me the winning numbers for next months, English million pound lettory, this month in advance?

I was not aware that you are the forum Troll hunter, have you by chance watched or read the Salom witch trials? I seem to be getting flash backs..

You have posted comments in several of my threads, is it your normal practise to hijack other peoples threads?

Can I ask what emperical datum lead you to the conclusion, that since I was unsure of the the two other watches I would not refrence to checks elsewhere on the Internet as to the back case of the Rolex Daytona?

Lastly is this your normal greating to new members on the form or is there a click? I have upset?

I wish for you a good day and may you live in interesting times..

Jabba, while you are correct that this section of TRF is mainly for the purpose of questioning the authenticity of watches available for sale, it is not a place where we discuss fakes we have knowingly purchased.

If English is not your first language, you may be forgiven your poor syntax. If English is your primary language, you are indeed a troll.

In any case, we will be watching you.

And one very strong suggestion. Do not argue with a moderator. You will lose every time. And the last time you lose will be your last post on TRF.
