Denial?

Ref 1002 no date

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CHECK THIS EBAY ITEM OUT
AUTHENTIC 1967,s Ref 1002 OYSTER PERPETUAL NO DATE 18K /SS ENGINE TURNED BEZEL
Item Id: 290754997503

GUY SAYS that in his mind it is just a misprint, its all ok. FYI this seller mover several 16013, 14s a week, with the 3035 inside, i have recently learned that the chinese have cloned the 3035. scary stuff I say.

here is his explanation to me

This watch has Cal 1570, not 3035
and i can discriminate between truth from falsehood
The dial of this watch has misprinted by someone in my thinking
Also ,there are no date door at 3 o'clock

the bid is at $510 for this authentic ref 1002, 2 1/2 days to go. I have notified ebay, and Rolex Suisse as well.

Wrong Forum. This should be in the "Watch Out" forum.

why? you don't think that this is a general topic? I wouldn"t be so absurd as to imagine that anyone here would buy a ref 1002 that said date on the no date dial. One think about chinese knockoffs, they will inevitably screw something up.
If it makes you fel better then "HEY WATCH OUT! THERE IS A DIAL THAT SAYS DATE ON IT AND IT ISN'T A DATE!" there, I have saved everyone from buying this as they surley wouldn't have figured it out. TBH, it was a discussion about a chinese clone of the 3035. or the weather in chins, general enough? thanks though. When I buy the watch and realize it is fake, I will start a thread in Watch out.

The watch might be fake but, I wouldn't call Korea the land of denial though.

I just noticed the dial and it looks like the picture with the caseback off is a different watch.

Kevin's pointing out though that the dial print says "date" but the dial itself has no date window.

Makes this watch a franken?

Yeah, I think this falls in the watchout section. You want people / prospective buyers to be aware of a potential watch that is not 100% authentic.

Link to the fleabay listing http://www.ebay.ca/itm/290754997503?...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Looks like this is a duplicate of your other post?

Moved to the correct section.....

Kevin, these types of posts, regardless of your views on the topic, always go into the 'Watchout' section.....
We do not discuss fakes, nor do we post them on the RGD area of the boards. The RGD area is for legitimate watches and chatter only!!

To everyone else, lets keep the stereotyping of countries and people out of this thread....No more warnings!

X 2.

The original title was juvenile at best and highly offensive at worst.

Also, using the OP's logic anything could be posted in the Rolex-Only section as long as one thought it was generally interesting.

This is why I said "not cool".

Had nothing to do with the content - it was the original headline naming a country.

Not sure what all the attitude is about. The title is indeed over generalizing, and this should indeed be moved to the watch out section of TRF.

This is a respectful forum where things are discussed in such a manner. Keep it that way.
