Why hello there!

Well... I forgot to post my introduction. I am Aaron. 21, in the USAF stationed in Japan.

I won a 1960 1003 case with a sweet dial on a whim from ebay. I then decided to piece it together and shortly later purchased a 1560 dial.

But then, I got addicted and wanted something with a date and manual wind. So I purchased a Blue Dial 6694 from 1974. :) Going to try and stop there... haha

I'll post pictures when I get the first one together, and when the 2nd one arrives.

My Oysterdate came it... It looks mint. I have been messing around with sizing it to my wrist, but I ran out of time, I have to swap some links around and such, but I have it figured out... Having 6" wrists is a pain. Once I get it sized I will post pictures!

Also, is there a faster way to set the date on the oyster date? When I got it, it was on the 30th, and I had to wind it to the 20th and it took a while. Is there anything I need to be careful of when winding it/setting date, like not go backwards or anything? Or is going backwards fine?

Welcome Bro. In Japan as well. No where near Misawa but down in Kyushu. If you ever make it down a is on me. A few members here living in Japan. The one and only Otto in Tokyo who is my Rolex sempai.

Met a Japan Self Defense Air Force Staff Sergeant in a bar Sunday night who drove his car down from near Misawa 1,000 + miles for Obon. Great Dude who spoke pretty great English and said he loved working with the USAF up there.

Welcome aboard.

I am going to be going down to Tokyo August 31st- September 3rd. The JASDF guys are really cool. Every year we have a Rugby snow match against them in 2 feet of snow, then the 2nd game we mix teams. Bunch of cool guys. We fill in for them in games if they don't have enough players. Those guys can really slam back the beer's!

Steve,
I have Korea on my dream sheet right now. I am trying to go to Osan next, so I will find out in about 2-3 months if I get it!

Osan was one of the best assignments I had (I still keep in touch with the few that are still in that I worked with there). Hope you get it

Welcome Aaron, I'm in the AF myself. Never made it to Japan yet, but spent a couple years in Korea back in the late 90s. Congrats on your latest piece.

On the way up! Showing some "fun" parts...

And here is a shot from the top of Mt Fuji!!!
