What a difference an OEM bracelet makes!
The bracelet for my 6694 arrived today from the UK, and I've just finished sizing and installing it. Here is my 1973 6694 with a 78350 from 1976, with the correct 557 end pieces. It's in terrific condition, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Enjoy the pics:

Thanks, Jason. They are difficult to find in nice condition, without having to pay a fortune. I got lucky, and found one at a reasonable price. ;)

Now you have options! The bracelet looks fantastic. But a black or dark brown band will look great too! Just try to avoid the NATO-look with this one (although if you do, we still wanna see!)

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments. I think the blue/grey dial with the gold markers, which appear more rose than yellow to my eye, IS quite stunning. It amazes me that a watch, from my own salad days, can look this good 40 years after it was produced. BTW, it's running great, after its service, too. The best part, though, is that it's SO ME!

If you have to explain what a Rolex is, the ref 6694 is the pefect sinthesis. Simple, clean, elegant. You will like it more and more everyday!
