How much are you willing to pay for it?

Beyond that have you tried searching google etc for past sales?

I'm no expert, but these older, non-oyster case Rolex are often not particularly expensive. I would not get carried away unless you absolutely love the watch. Because the style is not a classic Rolex look, I'd want to know that it's absolutely a Rolex and not a redialed old watch. Have you seen the movement?

Quite well worn 9ct gold case, repainted dial, replacement winder... the value is around £400-600.

It is on a well-known auction site with the following description:

Rolex Elegante 9ct / 9k Watch from approx 1930. Beautiful , Unrestored Cream Dial with Gold Numbers and Hands. Sub second Dial with Black Numbers and Hands. Solid Gold RWC [ Swiss made ] Case with Swiss Hallmarks for 9k / 375 Gold. 38mm x 20mm [ not inc. crown ]. 22mm with crown. Gold Solder reinforcing in the Corners of the Case Interior and around the Winder Cut Out probably due to Removal of Engraving on the Outer Case. Due to Removal of Engraving there is no Case Number or Serial Number [ normally on the outside with this type of watch ] but the Rolex Crown at the Top of the Case has been Retained. No Observable Case Breach. Rolex 18J Superbalance Movement Timed in Six Positions. Works Happily but with a Watch of this Age I cannot guarentee its Timekeeping. Rolex Signed Case , Dial , Movement . 18k / 750 Buckle [ these normally command £200 - £250 on their own ] and Leather [ Lizard effect ] Strap . A Lovely and ,indeed ,Elegant Watch
