AP lover ?

I own some AP watches now, one of them is Diver. 2 days ago I just bought 5980 bracelet. Im wearing it 2 days straight and today Change to the diver.
And i realized that I love this diver more then my new 5980. The feel, the size everything.
I think AP is my watch. But I still gonna keep the 5980 because it's Patek , I have to own one.

I agree, I have tried a few others and always want an AP on my wrist!

Great PP, but I always have a hard time buying more PP because of size.

I am just a large watch kinda guy, but PP is a great watch and a must in any rotation.

My 5167 is great for business stuff, but AP's get most wrist time.

But I am thinking about 5126 1A bracelet next yr.

Just nice to have a great rotation.

AP is always AP for me.
But I wouldn't mind a beautiful 5980 just like yours or he one in RG.

Interesting to hear... I've always loved the 5980, never tried or seen in person though.

I love the 5980 you posted the other day. Class of its own.

I know what you mean Heru. PP is awesome but they don't design sports watches like AP.

I have been visiting my PP AD for past year to the point I am embarrassed to come in again. Every time I tried to convince myself to get a Patek and still can't pull the trigger. I am 33 years old and I don't think I am ready for Patek, maybe when I am in my 50th...
Patek makes beautiful watches but my heart is with sport watches and APs are the best at that.
That said I don't think anyone's collection is complete without Patek...

Good grief Bogdan, would that I could have had half your collection in my 30s! I don't think you're ever too young to have a PP. Take the plunge with the easier models if you're uncertain. The 5167 and 5711 are nice simple sports watches.

I feel the same way. I'm 35 and just can't pull the trigger on my first PP yet, I feel it's not my personality yet. I see it more in my 40's I don't know why. Lol. I just feel like its a bit old mannish. Although the 5980 is awesome!

Hey I'm 36 :( (wrong side of my 30s) and I love my pps just as much as my APs

I think the APs look great dressed up and the PPs look great dressed down... At the end of the day a great watch is a great watch and the tru classics look amazing however you wear them...just wear with confidence!

It does look awesome on you.....

I'm really not worried about the whole dressed up dressed down thing, I wore my GP with a suit. Now a day anything goes. I guess the slimness of the PP isn't as sporty as my lifestyle, that's a better way to put it. I am use to a bit of a chunky watch with some presence. I have a feeling that a 5711 or 5980 will one day join the collection.

Yes. It is what it is. I owned 5276 once , only 30 days and I sold it. Then I'm thinking that I have to own one Patek to complete my collection. And 5980 I think the best looking Patek IMO. That's my 5 c.

Congrats on the 5980 Heru. I also used to think that PP is too classic for my tastes, but on your point I am starting to think that I need a PP to complete my collection as well :) So many nice PPs out there! If I don't have my ROC (which I think is a keeper for me) the 5980 would be perfect, but for now I'm really liking the 5205G.

Is the Panda ROC still in your collection?

Cheers,
James

I recently met a 22 year old collector who only wears A. Lange & Sohne and PP. He doesn't like AP nor RM at all. Hence, wear whatever tickles your fancy :)
