Let me first say the bezel protector from rolex is really a very cheap piece of plastic. I do not think they fake bezel protectors but hey anything is possible.
I say if it fits around your bezel and protects it who cares where it came from |

It's a cheap price of plastic. Highly doubt there is a profit to be made by "faking" them. IMHO even the pickiest collector probably doesn't give a hoot about a little price of plastic. I don't think Rolex makes them anyway and they are just purchased from some plastic company. Go at an AD and ask for one. I'm not trying to sound critical but why even try to source it. You have all the things that anyone would consider even a little important. If you want it to just say you have everything that's ok I guess as long as you don't put it on to wear the watch......

go to your local AD and ask
They will have some floatimg around but usually throw them away. The size is specific to the model so I am not sure if the ceramic 40mm besel protector will fit the SD without falling off. The older model no date sub 14060 should fit the SD, hope this helps

if you look at the bottom of the protector at 6 o clock under a 10 x loupe you can see a rolex crown etched into the plastic , if its not there then sorry it is a fake

The fake ones on e-bay are so well made that it's impossible to tell them apart.
The AD's and RSC are not able to do it and that's the reason you won't get a certificate of authenticity. |

Once you replace the protector with a service protector, the value of the watch plummets, unless it's a rare spider protector. :)

they make papers for plastic bezel protectors? If you need to protect the bezel, why have it? Wear it. scuff it up, tell the story, fix it. Sell the junk wrecked part on Ebay, Scuff up the new one

I honestly don't think there is a market for producing fake protectors.
The ones at eBay are the cheap plastics you get at your AD.

I have 20/15 x-ray vision which enables me to tell them apart quite easily. Mere mortals need not attempt the feat.

Well for me a complete set to include the bezel protector is nice. Sadly when you buy at an AD unless you order your Rolex and specifically tell them to not throw it away when it comes in they normally will.
ADs take them off when they put them in the display case as they show better without them. Never heard of a fake one. I am either having my leg pulled or I learned something new... |

If it has, you are at the wrong side of the table.

Bezel protectors,case/clasp stamps, sticky back plastic, box numbers, bar codes, holograms case back stickers. And the holy grail outdated bits of warranty paper, what ever has happened to the most important bit the actual watches.
Below is a genuine picture of a star ship captain I believe he is thinking the same as above .

Found the official proof from my prize bezel plastic protector.
Seriously. If you have one check it out with a 10X loupe. |
