Rolex Yachtmaster with Deville Backing

Hi. I have the opportunity to acquire a Men's Rolex Yachtmaster from my Brother-In-Law. Stainless Steel model. Approx 12-13 years old. Immaculate shape. With a Deville backing.

Apparently less than 100 were made that year with the Devile backing.

What would be a fair purchase price for the watch? Again assuming everything is authentic and in immaculate shape.

My guess about $10

I don't have any documentation right now. Again I haven't purchased the watch. What kind of documentation should come with it? This is my first potential Rolex purchase.

I don't have pics but I have seen the watch in person. Again, the condition is mint.

Apparently the previous owner before my brother-in-law was an actual employee of Rolex.

What is a Deville backing never heard of it it on any genuine Rolex and can assure you no Rolex model was ever made in less than a 100 units.

A Deville backing is a clear window on the back of the watch. You can see the movement and everything on the underside. Again, apparently less than 100 were made that year.

Complete rubbish sorry your watch is a fake its that simple, although many years ago as far as I know but none were for retail sale. Now in the history of Rolex there were a few proto-type watches with glass backs they were used when Rolex was testing the George Daniels Co-Axial escapement in proto-type watches. These watches were not officially for sale but one did turn up on the market several years ago,but it was removed from the sale for some reason and if you could find one it would cost two arms both legs and your body to buy one.And if I remember a few were specially made for very special VIP customers but that was a very long time ago. Plus todays modern Cellini Prince thats the only genuine Rolex has a retail display case back, although you can buy a third party non Rolex made glass back for several models..

Why do we know how these are going to go. I had a deville watch but it was an OMEGA model so I was looking forward to a hybrid, Rolex / Omega particularly after reading the ROLEX hate Norman story

You really need to get some good quality pics up here for us to tell you what's what. Otherwise don't purchase it.
