116520 on Ebay Fake or Real ?
Hello TRF I was looking at this 116520 on eBay it’s at $5100 auction no reserve no Buy it now and figured Id post it here so you guys can weigh in on its authenticity.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=300772982311 It’s hard for me to tell from the pics he provided obviously the first red flag is the auction for this item with no reserve protection as well as 2 feedback only, buy the buyer and all that, but doesn’t necessarily prove anything. The other thing I noticed from the pic is the Rolex engraving on the rehault look black correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t it be in SS since its engraved I messaged him: Hello I m interested in bidding aggressively for this item but I need some other specific picture before doing so. Please send me pictures of: 1. The watch with case back removed to see verify the authenticity of the movement 2. Pictures of the paper work you have for the watch 3. Picture of the code inside of the SEL of the bracelet as well as the serial on the case you can XXXX out the last few digits for safety np. 4. Lastly a picture of the watch showing the specific time 4:32 so that I can verify that you indeed have the watch. If you include these pictures in your auction I’m sure it will help sell it for more since it will further prove its authenticity. Thank You for your time and effort I await your pictures before bidding/buying your item. Doubt I’ll get those pics but if I do I’ll let ya know. Well I’ll leave it in the hands of the community to weigh in incase some of our members are bidding on this item. Also I’ve never bought a Rolex online before only Rolex I own I bought back in 1987 before the wonders of the internet so just out of curiosity are my questions/pic requests any good for online verification of authenticity and more so what other specific pictures do you all usually ask for when attempting to verify authenticity for an online sale. Thank You |

It's a real watch. But not necessarily a genuine seller. You will be able to work it it from his responses.. If he responds.
Cheers

If he doesn't respond or if he makes up some excuses for answering all your questions, take your business elsewhere.
He has no seller feedback at all, I'd be very cautious. |

Also, to be taken into consideration is the international shipping/importing of this Rolex to the US...be sure to research this as well as the customs information before jumping into this deal...

Thanks for all the responses guys, I’m an expat partly retired in Mexico and part in the states I’m in my Mexican home so the shipping is not an issue. But yea I probably won’t be bidding on this he set 2 pics in case anyone is following this item here they are for some reason the pic the watch with box and paper work looks familiar to me I’m sure if it’s a stolen image someone here will realize it also just noticed that the pic of box and papers isn’t named DSC like the one he took of the watch which is his cameras default naming.
I wrote him back just to see where this goes: Thanks for the quick response Orlin but before I buy/bid i need to see a picture of the case serial next to the serial number on the certificate to verify they match and as long as you have the bracelet removed to get that shot please take a picture of the code on the inside of the end link this picture is not hard to take its just removing the end link. I would also like to see a picture of the movement so that I may verify the it’s a 4130. Thank you for your understanding there are just to many people selling fakes now a days so I can’t purchase without seeing those pictures. Once again Thanks for your time and attention.
