don't know where to post but..

here it goes..
Input needed from fellow forumers. I'm thinking of getting back into the AP fold, through the 15400ST( still can't decide which coloured dial). But in order to do that, I would need to let go of a couple of watches from the current collection.

As it stands, I have 2 PAM, 372 and 292, and a rolex GMTIIC in my small collection.

I was thinking of letting go of the 292, and the GMTIIC for a direct trade, or a little top up from myself.

what would you do? quantity over quality or vice versa?

thanks

I would have a hard time letting the only Rolex go, especially the GMT! Is it possible to let one PAM go and save a bit more for the AP? Then you would have a very diverse collection. Many people would be very happy with a PAM, Rolex GMT and AP RO three watch collection.

Id get rid of a Rolex and a Panerai, either one. You won't regret it!

It's better to have a few you love and want to where everyday than to have many that only get your heart beating faster for a few minutes.

I'd pick an AP over a Rolex and a PAM anyday.

As answered by VPR80 below, they are too similar. I wouldn't flip the gmt if were to get a ROO.

that is the expected destination Ken, jut don't know when will i reach there

Well, i know what to do now, but which dial? I plan to make it into a dress watch and will probably switch the bracelet to a leather strap, OEM preferred.

Thomas, would you mind PMing me the rough price of the parts needed to convert it to OEM leather strap?

thanks

Why not flip both Panerais and keep the GMT? That's what the watch snob would do.

With a 15400, you don't need the GMTIIc anymore. They both fill the same "style" spot and we all know which one wins that battle. I think one PAM and the 15400 will complement each other great and cover a lot of different situations from sport to dressy.

I guarantee, you will never look back from the 15400. I recently got a ROC and it was well worth it.

Definitely go for quality over quantity. You will only wear one at a time anyways.

I'd lose the GMT and 292 as well. You won't regret the AP.
