Rolex v.s Johnnie Walker!?

Im not sure if it's has been discussed before, but this just came into my mind when I see the tudor black bay, and I find it interesting.

Johnny walker
Blue label> gold label> green label> black label> red label

Rolex
116619(blue)> 116618(gold)> 116610lv(green)> 116610ln(black)> BB(red)

The order is exactly the same... Could it be coincidence? or these 2 brands are actually somehow connected?

They are connected, did you drink all that bottles in order, or all together?

I usually drink green/black label as the love I have in 116610. Working my way to get a 116619 (hopefully one day), and have the blue label as my daily drink

I'm certain its not by coincidence. They want continuity between the models and flavors. Very important.

They might be the same company. In fact, Crayola might be the same company too. Turns out they have blue, gold, green, black, and red crayons!

The plot thickens...

I usually drink the black label but always have a bottle of blue on hand for special occasions.
Rolex of choice is my beloved TT DJ followed by the SS Sub..

I saw a program on the History Channel the other day about some guys finding the number "7" repeating itself in the statue of liberty... How they always ended up with the number "7" was VERY imaginative.

And no. I don't think they are connected. (Rolex and Johnny)

Blue label is not that good. Not for the money, anyway.

Agreed. There are a lot of good single malts out there that are better than Blue label and less expensive.

It all depends on where you buy it. I picked up an engraved bottle for 100 bucks and it came with a 4 pack sample each 200ml of jw black gold green and blue.

Johnnie Blue is the Cadillac Escalade of the Scotch Whisky world, all bling and common.

Let's talk single malts!

I prefer to think of my 116610LN as a nice Laphroaig or Ardbeg 10 yr, in a cut crystal rocks glass with (gasp!) 3 rocks.

Johnnie Green is my homie, I'll give you that. For a blend it's nice.
