I'm the buddy. I've now had 3 LVs and I'm on the 3rd GMT. This time I'll stay with the GMT. The quality is so far beyond the LV. It may not have lines that are quite as clean as a classic sub, but the way it feels on your wrist and the way the clasp snaps shut so smoothly is incredible. Best option- get both.

Sub vs. GMT is the ultimate battle with no real loser. I love the look of the sub bezel (plus I'd use the timer more than a 2nd time zone), I love the glidelock, and brushed center links. However, the GMTIIc has a very nice movement and a very cool complication. If I was forced to choose right now. I'd probably go with the Sub, but my decision very well may change when the sun rises tomorrow.

I did a poll recently between four watches, the Sub and GMTiic were the top two and both had the exact same number of votes. That just goes to show you they are both loved watches.

Sub LV. Bezel of GMT is too busy and PCL's attract too many scratches. Nice watch, but those are the deal breakers for me.

LV gets my vote too. Not a fan of ceramics at the moment.

GMTIIc. IMHO best daily wearer out there. I love the fact you can throw a black insert on the LV though.

I've had the GMT-IIC for 5+ years, just got a Sub LV. Gotta say, completely two different watches and two different looks. Look and feel, side by side. Too hard to speculate what you would like. When you have them side by side you will know.

GMT IIc because IMO it has a better bezel, bracelet and clasp.

For me, the GMT IIc would be a no-brainer
