Fake Daytona??
I am being offered a good deal on the watch, but as you guys know too well, most things are too good to be true. What do you guys think?

There's something "off" about those hands...

They are skinny hands.
If you can take the watch and have it authenticated by a jeweler, it's the best way.

Shots of dial are too blurry to tell, but that's a red flag.
I have concerns about fonts and spacing. On second look dial is 100% fake. |

I have concerns as well. Comparing the dial shown to my white dial, what may seem like little things are clearly inconsistencies.

Unless someone is in dire need for money, there is almost no steals on these things...esp not form a Daytona which the owner would know that it's pretty desirable.
My rule of thumb is if seller is asking less than what he could trade it in to a dealer for, something is wrong. |

My first thought was the inside of the box looks wrong. Somehow too scruffy, no?

There is actually a skinny hands white F series in the for-sale section. Its coronet looks more filigrane and even with the blur going on here this one looks too fat. The large stopwatch hand should have the same diameter as the coronet arms but doesn't. Need better pictures or a trip to the AD.

The dial seems wrong to me. But then the pictures are bad - get better pics from the seller.
