Whoa, beat is the word. Looks like. 1675 that has had some RSC treatment and then beaten to this hell and the next. Bracelet is typically found on the Sub but could be specified with the dive extension on the GMT for fitting over flight suits

It spent a couple of years in RVN during the first years of its life.Elaborate on the RSC treatment?
Thanks!

I wouldn't do too much to the case or the dial/hands. I would probably leave the bezel alone too, but it's not too big of a deal if you replace it. I bet it would look great with just a simple crystal polish and a rebrushing of the band.

+1. Just polish the crystal and wear it. Beautiful watch you have there.

Interesting piece!
You have a diver's bracelet on a watch made for flight. Somtimes the RSC would "Upgrade" (Or so I have heard).

The dial looks correct for circa 1966. Some call it a Mark I dial.

X2 John really knows these GMT. If you remove the bracelet you can get the serial number and get really close to its age. If you open it up and look at the inside of the case back you can bump the date stamp against the serial number and get even closer. The bracelet is of no big concern unless you want an " original circa" bracelet which should have been a riveted 7206. Those are pricey for a good example and IMHO not worth it unless you're a collector or a purist. I'm neither and I wear a 93150 like yours on my 1968 GMT. I find the 93150 more comfy and it fits me better. The crystal should be replaced which doesn't affect the value of the watch. In fact, if the RSC did the service they would replace it anyway unless you specifically requested them not to. If you requested them not to and it affected the pressure testing of the watch then I believe they would not service it because they couldn't warranty the movement service afterwards. The insert is correct and adds character the way it is. However, if it bothers you, finding a period correct insert would be relatively simple for about $300. If you go Witt the RSC, do not let them touch the dial, hands, or insert. Do a movement only service and crystal replacement and if there is damage to the tube and crown then use your best judgement. Tube and crown replacements are pretty standard as well, but some people elect not to until a further service down the road. Be specific otherwise they will replace the dial, hands, and insert and you do not want that.

What you have is a diamond in the rough. I'd go with a movement only service, crystal replacement, and a touch up on the bracelet. Try it like that and if the insert bothers you then source a replacement.

Man, that watch has been there and done it. Bet it has some stories. I really wonder what happened to the insert. Curious, how well does it run? Interesting...thanks for posting.

The insert is the inlaid metal ring with numbers that is part of the bezel assembly

For comparison, my recently "Ridley'd" 66

The crystal is new, hands and insert are RSC replacements from 2004. Bob aged the hands to match the patina of the lumes. He also serviced the movement and replaced the crown and crown tube. It's been on my wrist for about a month now and I can't stop looking at it! I've considered sourcing a period-correct insert, but I like the look of the watch as is. Whatever you decide, congrats on a very cool watch!

Wow, that's beautiful! So, Bob can take luminova hands and make them look old like this? Impressive. Purists might flinch, but I say why not. I much prefer this look to the toothpaste white of luminova hands on an aged tritium dial. I assume the hands still glow, which gives you the best of both worlds. Nice!
