why is thread closed?

I posted a thread asking opinions on whether or not to have a Rolex polished to remove scratches and after a few replies the thread shows "closed".
Why?

I read another closed thread and may have found the problem.
I am going to sell the watch and I mentioned that I must decide on a price.
I was not shopping for an offer or asking an opinion on the price. I was just making a comment.
Sorry mods!

I don't see a closed thread of yours.

Was it closed or removed?

You accidentally mentioned "watch for sale" twice.

Paul is spot on, that is a no-no

You may not expressly or impliedly communicate that you have a watch for sale unless it is on the for sale forum.
