Vintage 5513 Trade

Hi everyone. I've been offered this watch as a potential trade and I think it looks sweet. The only problem is, I know nothing about the vintage side of Rolex. The only thing I can tell is that it has a really nice faded bezel but I was hoping your more experienced eyes could tell me if this looks good. This is the only pic I have so far:

Also, what would be a fair trade value on this? Thanks in advance!
Justin

Thanks, the lugs seem a bit over polished in this pic.

I love the look of this watch, especially with that fat faded insert. I'd get more photos from all angles, and double-check the lugs. They do look quite polished in that one photo, but it's hard to tell. If the watch checks out, if the dial and hands are original (matching patina), and if the lugs look OK, I'd say $4200-$4500 range, even without the bracelet. Good luck!

The dial appears to be a non serif dial from the early/mid 70's and appears to be in nice condition. Faded insert is of the fat font variety and adds some visual appeal. A quick look at the serial will tell you whether the dial is period correct for the case. As a rule of thumb, I try not to comment on the condition of a watch case from one pic only. Hands are a reasonable match to the dial, but may have been replaced.

The trade would be a 14060M plus cash from his end. I think it's a nice looking watch, just can't decide if its for me.

Very hard to say with this one pic, not saying it is, but in closeup the hands, especially the second hand, look a little of color. Could be replacement hands.
Bezel and dial is very nice.

As other have commented, other pictures and details would be great!

Beautiful bezel insert. The question is was it purchased later or is it original to the watch. When you have an opportunity, get the serial number to denote the year of production to determine if perhaps this watch is an early production and should have a meters first dial.

Based on the one picture, IMO, the hands do not match that dial (later replacement).

If you are not familiar with vintage, you are doing your homework, great to see!

Also in considering the trade, you want to know the service history. Another few hundred dollars to consider in the purchase.
