Just Got Engaged. New trend?

Got engaged this week.
Guy buys ring. Girl buys guy Rolex. Who is with me?

Thanks for the informative site, it really helped me decide on the Subc. Sorry for the grainy pic.

I got engaged 11 years ago; the ring part was the same but sadly not the Rolex part....

Congratulations!

Well, I can't say I directly received a gift from my wife. But she didn't put up a fight when I wanted to get something for myself. I was able to justify the cost of a new watch since since she got a diamond ring.

Congrats on the engagement and Sub!

My wife and I just celebrated our tenth anniversary. I updated her engagement ring with a lot nicer one but I didn't get a new rolex in return. I guess I can't complain though, she never says anything when I want to spend the money on a nice watch.
Congrats on the engagement
