50th Sub Serial# question
Just have a few questions on the 16610 LV sub
For the original released of the 16610LV in 2003 what serial number was it a D? Also what is the difference between the D serial vs M, V, Y, etc? Some cost more than others is it just a difference in production dates? What makes it more valuable if at all? I am interested in the 16610 LV and just doing some homework Thanks |

Hello and welcome to the forum.
to answer your question, Y was the first serial number which was officially the 50TH anniversary which is why this commands the highest dollar if one can be found mint. the d serial number was for 2005 which has no difference than Y except for the engraved number. M,V, and G(VERY RARE) have the engraving under the crystal which makes it more a modern rolex. in terms of cost, it all varies in terms of conditions and if it comes with box and papers. the safe price for most of these is around $6500 - 6700

There are random serial number LVs out there. Saw one at a grey in Tokyo.
