Isn't time for used 216750's to start popping up

Hi All,
Been lurking here for a while, joined recently, but this is my first post :)

I'm just wondering when you all think there might be some well used Explorer II's of the 42mm variety coming up on the secondary market. Being a hard use kind of wearer, I'm always interested in picking up someone's pre-worn pre-scratched watch (less worry than wearing my pam368 ;) ). I've looked quite a bit, but mostly I see lnib or just took the stickers off.....
No real wearers coming on the market??

So, is there some unspoken time schedule? How long does it take for the shine to come off a new model ;)

Thanks for any input

-Jonny

Welcome to the forum!

I am already seeing a few on the secondary market. Some of the trusted sellers on this forum have been selling a few.

Historically Explorer II's are bought by folks who tend to hang on to their timepieces..

Much different type than those who buy and flip the common Subs on a regular basis..

Just keep checking with the Classified -> For Sale - Watches section of TRF.

You never know when one might pop up.

I must say that I am still loving my Explorer II noir, no plans anytime soon to move from it. That being said I know of a member who only kept his for a few weeks and sold it, I think in the high $6's(sportsmaven20).

If I were a betting man, definitely yes. Death, taxes and Rolex price increases are all certainties in life.

They pop up almost on a daily basis right here on TRF, the place to be.

The Explorer II 216570 is the best Rolex I've ever had... couldn't see myself flipping it anytime soon. Maybe the other owners feel the same way.........

Got mine delivered BNIB last Thursday from a trusted seller on TRF, be holding on to it for quite a long time. Whether you decide to buy new or slightly used, cant go wrong on the TRF classifieds. But as said above, probably going to be a while before you see any well worn(enjoyed) anywhere.
Happy Hunting
