Someone paid $75,000 for this on eBay

Apparently a company named Beckertime had a Rolex sale on eBay that ends today and sold this watch to someone for $74,999. I get that it is covered with diamonds and has a lot of gold but I don't find it the least bit attractive.

Do you think it is worth $75,000 and would you even wear it if you could afford it and wouldn't it weigh about 16 ounces or even more which would be like having a wrist weight on you all the time.

If I had that kind of money I would buy up a couple of vintage collectibles.

Maybe it's someone's Christmas present ! ! !

.

Don't exagerate, it's 74999$ not 75000 .

Can you post the link?

Wow! Hands have been cut short, not the best setting job, just........ well it's an abomination. To be politically correct though, I apologize to anyone whose taste I may have offended.

That is awful. Some people have no taste whatsoever.
I'd agree with meloncap78 above. The setting is attrocious.
All I can hope is that the person who bought it actually intends to break it down into it's parts and make other jewelry from all of the diamonds and the melted gold from the watch.
In the right jewelers hands it could have been a very good investment after a little work.
Please god anyway.

pathetic, but well again, you gotta let them be, there's a market for every product, and you sadly get to see these kinds of "creations" sometimes, gross and ugly

The diamonds look like they were photoshopped on. Do you think they photoshopped it and said if anybody is nuts enough to buy it, we'll make it for them?

I had a boss that always said, "For every seat there is an ass". Remembering that has kept me out of a lot of trouble

Not a fan. Also, the diamonds don't appear set very well.

That was the first thing I noticed. Not only are the diamonds not set well, they don't all match. For that kind of money and for how small those diamonds must be they should at least match and be set properly. Maybe someone owned this and blinged it up and then pawned it and now it was sold by this company. I don't know. I don't believe Rolex did this. I can't believe they would let something like this sell in one of their stores.

Maybe this is going to be used as attempted "evidence" of value when the watch suddenly goes missing and someone files a claim with insurance (probably not realizing the limits on their coverage for this sort of thing)?

Looks to me like a watch someone would buy having more money than sense.

It's ugly! Rather a Daytona or Patek Philippe. This is to much bling bling for me.
